Accreditation Exams

To become an Accredited Cosmetic Dentist one has to be a life member of the IAACD. The validity period of the membership has to be two years to allow the candidate to start the Accreditation process. Further the candidate should have attended at least two national level meets in the past four years. Such a candidate, on completion of the above mentioned criteria has to pay the Accreditation fee (currently Rs.1500/-) & can appear for the Accreditation process.

The accreditation process consists of two parts. The candidate has to submit before/after photographs of five aesthetic cases along with the application to appear for the Part I examination. The Part I consists of a mulitple choice written examination. A minimum of 70% marks have to be obtained to clear the Part I process. The Part II consists of a bench test Where the candidate will have to build up a direct composite veneer on a central incisor to match an adjacent natural central incisor in shade & form. In addition to the bench test, the candidate will also have to appear for a viva voce.

The accreditation exam will be conducted during the Goa conference. Those who have cleared part-I can apply for appearing in part-II. Part-I of the exam will be held on the morning of day-1 (26th September), while part-II will be held in the afternoon of day-2 (27th September).
