Loss of coronal structure to caries or trauma invaraibly leaves the clinician in a dillema of salvaging the remaining tooth structure or extracting and replacing. The new advent of aesthetic, highly functional posts crafted from glass fibres gives a new impetus to maintaining and restoring the natural.
These posts possess properties which very closely match that of the dentin and enamel. This similarity helps in ensuring longevity of the rehabilitation if the proper technique is adhered to and none of the principles involved in the physics is violated.
This program will highlight all these aspects of the post and core systems followed by a demonstration on a broken down tooth and will also give the opportunity to the delegates to handle the materials.
