INTENSE INTROSPECTION - Presidents Voice The speakers for the sessions were Dr. Ajit Shetty, Dr. Hemant Sachdev, Dr. Milind Karmarkar, Dr. Prashant Hatkar, Dr. Aquil Reshamwala and Dr. Mona Kakar. The program was very ably moderated by Drs. Sandesh Mayekar and A.Kumarswamy. All the speakers dug into the vast resources of the literature to bring to fore the existing scientific evidence for or in contrary to so many accepted empirical norms. The approach suggested for the presentations was to bring in the methodology of the Cochrane Review to substantiate or refute claims and counter claims presented by various materials, suggested methods and techniques. Each session was eloquently summarized by the moderators and thrown open to the delegates for an open house. The responses from the audience was indeed amazing and the constant focus on pure science, generally restricted to the academic institutions was seen at the fore as a continuum in the three sessions.                                                                                             .....
