TECHNICAL TRAINER
"Technical Trainer" was the third extremely successfull event of the year 2008 by the IAACD. The program was conducted on the 2nd and 3rd of August, 2008 at VITS Hotel, Andheri, Mumbai. The program had been planned with a predominant focus on the dental technician and as expected the majority of delegates were dental technicians. It was a full house with lectures and presentations on Day one and table clinics on Day two. Presentations were made on Day one by Dr. Mukesh Katara, Dr. Paresh Kale, Dr. Sanjay Soni, Dr. Sandesh Mayekar, Mr. Rahul Kakodkar, Mr. Sameer Merchant and Dr. Hemant Sachdev. Extensive information was provided on the latest metal free technology from various companies, the Captek system and a a detailed overview on the parameters required for crown and bridge preparations.
On Day Two there were four table clinics which were conducted by Nobel Biocare on the Procera System, Ivoclar/Vivadent on the E Max system, 3M Espe on the Lava system and S.P.Dental on the thermoplastic denture systems and milling of implant copings, wax patterns etc. All the delegates got an opportunity to participate in each of the table clinics in four sessions along the day. The respose from the participants was tremendous and by the end of the progrm there were very satisfied delegates as well as extremely tired but very contended trade participants.
